Adaptability. A rare quality that the last of their world needed. Faced with extinction they were left with no options. There will be no more "home" to stay in, fathers and mothers, sons and daughters took up arms while the greatest minds of their generation pondered on their next move.
Prof A: "We’ve got to send people out there, we’re sitting ducks in a dying planet."
Mr. X: "How’s that mechanoid space-flight tech coming up?"
Prof A: "It’s ready.. But it’s untested."
Mr. X: "Send in the Coalition team. We start with Task Force teams then we send in the cavalry."
Prof A: "Understood."
The room was silent as documents were signed, written on the folder with fresh ink stamped on by a rusty typewriter:
"Project: Red Horse"
It marked the beginning of the end.
