Sacrifices for the Sacrifice God
Another small one today! This super simple mod changes the way that the Cult of Sotek’s "Enslave" post-battle captive option works. I was really bothered by how long it took to get any real amount of sacrificial offerings, and how it actually incentivized not killing the whole enemy army, so you could fight them twice in a row. I was also annoyed by getting 50 no matter what – if I fought a single-unit army or a battle against three enemy stacks.
With this mod, instead of one flat-sum of 50 Sacrificial Offerings every battle, the amount possible fluctuates based on the enemy army’s size and value of their units, as well as the percent of them killed.
Roughly speaking, the equation is:
Actually, that’s definitely the exact equation. It also clamps the value between 5 and 100.
Please note this is PERFECTLY open to balance, but I don’t have any intention of making this absolutely perfect.
Incompatible with other mods that rebalance the Sacrificial Offerings mechanic, at least ones that try to change the rate at which its gained. Aside from that, it’ll work fine with anything else. It’s save-game compatible, can be removed mid-game, super friendly.
If any good changes to balance are needed, I’ll update then. Otherwise, no updates are expected for this mod!
