Androu1’s Musketeer
So, Musketeer! The "backers-only" class which is really just a reskin of the Arbalest. Some might think that’s kinda lame, but I personally see it as an excellent opportunity. I see the Musketeer as a blank slate of sorts. We have the art assets and we, the community, are free to modify her functionality as we see fit. I’m certainly not the only one and probably not the first to try their hand at modding her, but this is my personal variation of the Musketeer!
TL;DR of the changes:
-Aimed Shot has remained basically the same, but with a lowered buff vs Marked and less CRT.
-Smoskescreen is changed to debuff enemy accuracy and stun enemies, targets 2 front rows.
-Call the Shot replaced by Marking Shot, slight damage while marking. Speed debuff on enemy. Lower ACC.
-Buckshot lost the ability to move enemies and has lower damage and CRIT, but hits 3 ranks instead of 2.
-Sidearm replaced by Retreat Shot. Similar functionality but moves the musketeer back one step.
-Patch Up replaced by Encourage. Provides Stress Heal and slight SPD and DMG buffs for one ally.
-Skeet Shot keeps Clear Stun/Marked but loses Torch+3 and Debuff Resist. Buffs SPD.
-In addition, the trinkets have been modified in accordance with these changes to her skill set. Crimson Court trinkets are also modified!
The changes made to the Musketeer aren’t merely to her skills, but also to her base stats. In general, she has higher DODGE, Debuff Resistance, SPD and Damage but has decreased Health and CRT. The idea is to make her slightly squishier and less CRT-reliant, while allowing her to deal higher consistent damage than the Arbalest. She relies a bit more on damage avoidance than the Arbalest, too.
All these changes should hopefully allow the Musketeer to carve her own niche and make her distinct enough from the Arbalest. I did not want to make her COMPLETELY different, and wanted to make her more of a "sidegrade" to the Arbalest. Wether I succeeded or not is up to you! My biggest fear is that I made her too strong or too weak, but hopefully she’s balanced.
