Description

Project Divine Game Master is a overhaul designed to provide an experience closest to the vanilla one, reworking some features while preserving the core gameplay.
Fully compatible with Story and Game Master modes, it encourage RP and make the character sheet more suitable for building RP systems on top of it.

Why this overhaul ?

There are already another overhauls on the workshop. Why using this one ?
Each overhaul have a different point of view for changing the game. If you want to make a new playthrough of the story mode, you can either use this one or Divinity Unleashed, up to your preference of the changes. If you want a smoother GM mode experience, or simply smoother RP experience in general, I’d warmly recommend you to use this overhaul since it’s expressively designed for being more RP-friendly.

Features

Attributes rework: original damage scaling is now gone, each attribute provide several effects to make each of them more or less useful for all types of build. This change have been done in order to reduce min/maxing and make the base game more suitable to build a RP system in GM mode.
Armor rework: by default, half of the damages go through armor and go up to 75% if the other type of armor have been depleted. This change have been made to increase the viability of hybrid builds and parties.
Skill, Weapon and Defense abilities and Talents changes: they have been changed to shuffle the original strategies, some have been made weaker to prevent abuse and some have been made stronger to encourage underlooked strategies.
Crowd Controls extended: abusive turn loss is now prevented by Momentum or Linger after a turn of CC. Any attempt to set a new CC will provide Staggered or Confused instead, which doesn’t make the character loose their turn but is still crippling enough. This change have been made to preserve the strategical threat of CCs.
Dodge extension: missing a hit the second time on the same turn will refund 1 AP. Continously dodging will exhaust the character, making it more likely to be hit the next time. This change have been made to avoid extreme cases of luck/unluck.
Weapons changes: each weapon type now have more different properties to provide different playstyles for each type of weapon.
Potions and food rework: potions now restore a percentage and food now provide long bonuses. This change have been made to have a more interesting use of potions and make food useful. There are also few more item recipes that have been added (runes frames can be re-used, poison resistance potions can be crafted as well as smoke arrows and grenades)

Compatibility

Not compatible with other overhauls like Divine War and Divinity Unleashed.
It should be compatible with most class mods.

This mod requires Norbyte’s script extender. It is a wonderful extension that multiply the modding capabilities of the engine.
