Chimera Squad Version as of: 5/1/20

This mod adds the master of infiltration that performed the world’s first halo drop, Naked Snake, who would later inherit the title of Big Boss, as an agent of Chimera Squad. It’s better to ask less questions about how he came here or just come up with some new lore or something. He is an CQC Expert with several abilities that can change the tide of battle.

This mod apparently is the first mod that did an entirely new agents from scratch, asset-wise. There were a lot of hurdles to get this to work properly, but hopefully this will be the beginning of completely custom-made agents.

He has the following perks at each rank:

  • Recruit
    • Infiltrator: Allows Big Boss to sneak through vents when breaching.
    • Desperado: Allows the agent to fire a pistol without ending the turn.
    • Last Stand: When the agent bleeds out, the agent’s health will reduce to 1HP and will take an action immediately after the turn.
  • Deputy Agent
    • Alpha Strike: Same as Godmother’s breaching skill.
  • Field Agent (Requires Refined Reflexes training)
    • CQC: Basics: Subdue will no longer end the turn and adds an extra +2 damage to subdue.
    • Die Hard: Shots deal +1 damage if the target is wounded, +3 damage if the target is flanked, and +4 damage if both conditions are met.
  • Special Agent
    • Frangible Jacket: Snake can take a shot that’s guarenteed to hit, that will root the target for 3 turns, but deals half damage. 3 turn cooldown.
  • Senior Agent (Requires Ever Vigilant training)
    • CQC: Disarm: Subdue will disable the target’s weapon if still alive.
    • Kept You Waiting, Huh?: Agent’s adjacent to Snake will cleanse any negative mental effects. However, Snake is not immune to mental effects.
  • Principal Agent (Requires Quick Reload training)
    • Faceoff: Same as Blueblood’s skill.

New Training Programs:

  • Ever Vigilant Training: Snake can train to gain the Ever Vigilant perk. It does the same thing as Blueblood’s skill.

  • Big Boss by default takes over Blueblood’s spot in the locker. Whomever loads first will be the one that sits there, which is kinda annoying but there’s not much we can do to change this behavior… yet.
  • Hair is darker than usual. Will fix if I can figure it out.

  • Fix some bugs, if any.
  • Add a voicepack to Big Boss, but that might be a separate mod later down the line as it requires a manual install.
  • New Uniforms for Big Boss: Sneaking Suit and Fatigues.
  • Solid Snake, Liquid Snake, Solidus Snake, or Ocelot agent or enemies.
  • Add new New Ability: CQC: Consecutive skill: Reaper with Subdue effects.
  • Add new New Ability: Roundhouse Kick: 1 tile AOE effect that knocks enemies back and has a chance to stun.
  • Primary and secondary weapon swapping.
  • Mk22 Mod 0 Tranq pistol.
  • More skills and perks.
  • Better portrait that fits the game’s theme.
  • More recruitable agents.

Is it safe to add this mod in the middle of a campaign?
Yes! You can add it mid campaign with little to no issues. The agent can be recruited at any point of the campaign if you’re lucky enough.
