-WHAT IS X.C.O.M-
Xtra Class Outside Mods is a series of mods I plan to release for both vanilla and WOTC XCOM2 and consist of soldier classes for the player to use. They will use no external assets apart from a simple class logo to ensure maximum compatibility with the base game files and those of other mods as well. The aim of the series is to add classes within XCOM 2 to give players variety within a very confined system, the soldiers will feel the same and use the same weapons and abilities however there will be more variation to said soldiers. Melee Snipers, Assault Medics, Grenadiers with Gremlins and more to give the game more vanilla flavouring. Each new class will have their own name, nicknames, progression speed, fluffy lore, short comings which need to be compensated and many roles to play on the field of battle. No ‘One man/woman/alien’ army soldiers. That wouldn’t be XCOM now would it?
-THE XENOHUNTER-
Hiding amongst the ruined cities and Resistance settlements has taught the XenoHunter one thing, that ADVENT and their Xeno masters are a blight on the world. Watching from afar as they see humans they once knew be converted into hybrids for ‘more than questionable’ purposes. What makes a XenoHunter stand out from the rest of their fellow fighters is their hatred and prowess for killing anything non-terran, sticking to the shadows and sowing chaos amongst the targets they engage for if the alien invasion has proven anything, it is that having the first strike in combat can just about be the single deadliest advantage one can wield, especially if they don’t see it coming.
Armed with a blade and their choice of either a sniper or assault rifle, they can just as easily land a killing blow from a distance or run in and dispatch their enemy however do be careful. A lack of conditioning makes these soldiers glass cannons so ‘Hit and Run’ tactics are the way to go.
-WHATS NEW-
-Can make use of Reaper armour, clothing and their signature weapon…THE VEKTOR RIFLE
-Tends to bond quicker with Rangers and Reapers while avoiding connections with Skirmishers for clear reasons
-Can learn even more XCOM abilities through the training centre that were not first available on their vanilla tech tree, with a few Reaper based skills thrown in for good measure
-QUICK NOTE-
Given the time and hassle it took to set up the damn modding software, I have decided to use WOTC as my default output format and ONLY IF IN DEMAND, will I port a mod backwards to use in vanilla XCOM 2
