Description:

What this mod does:

Traits have been grouped in effects and are limited to a single trait of such a group except the Various Ones!
Extra traits made for CryoVolcanoes, Mineral Rich/Poor, Resource Rich/Poor, Liquids Rich/Poor, Gas Rich/Poor.
Extra traits to guarantee certain types of Geysers: Water, Power and Resources
Certain traits have variation in strength/effects, but keep the element of surprise. You won’t know until you explore the world! No indication is given when rolling the world.

This mod is not for you: If you like to pick and choose every single aspect of the Asteroid you land on.
I also like the element of surprise, hence the strength variations without indications of it.

World Trait Groups:
Geological Activity
Power Producing Geysers, Vents and Volcanoes
Resource Producing Geysers, Vents and Volcanoes
Water Producing Geysers and Vents
Object Adders
Oil Influencers
Resource Influencers
Temperature Influencers
Various

Except for the World Trait Group Various only 1 pick can be made per group.
E.g. If Slime Splats from the Object Adders Group was picked, you can no longer obtain geodes, boulders or glaciers.

Keep in mind that several exclusions occur, which can influence the possibility of being picked.
Exclusions based on temperature is mostly to keep cold traits with cold and hot with hot.
This mod doesn’t mix cold and hot traits. In my personal opinion they hinder the temperature balance of the map, and have less effect when combined.

Due to the nature of the algorithm to generate asteroid maps overlaps can occur. Thus one Point of Interest can remove/overwrite another Point of Interest! This means in most instances everything will be properly generated/added to the map: think Geysers, AETN, Neural Vacillator, … However it can occur that especially covered geysers are overwritten! Do not complain to me! Complain to KLEI instead and write a Bug Report if it bothers you. I cannot do anything about this mechanism!

Also any geyser generated on the neutronium border of the map will not appear! I filed a bug report to KLEI for this! No need to message me.

If you add a mod which adds more Geyser variants they too can be picked randomly. However those will not be part of my dedicated Power, Resource or Water Producing Geysers, Vents and Volcanoes Traits!

Group: Geological Activity

– Geological Inactive: Removes all Covered Geysers. Does not influence uncovered and guaranteed geysers! So 2 to 5 (or 10 in case of Rime) geysers will still appear on the asteroid!
Most extensive exlusion list; If not picked first, has much less chance of being pick later due to being exclusive with All Producing Geysers, Vents and Volcanoes Traits aswell as CrioVolcanoes and Volcanoes!
– Geological Dormant: Removes 4 – 8 Covered Geysers. Has the same exclusions as Geological Inactive.
Keep in mind if you use modded maps, with less than 5 – 9 Covered/Random Geysers, you will run the risk of not having any Geysers except the guaranteed uncovered ones!
– Geological Active: Adds 4 – 8 Covered Geysers. Exclusive with CryoVolcanoes and Volcanoes.
– Geological Hyperactive: Adds 10 – 14 Covered Geysers. Exclusive with CryoVolcanoes and Volcanoes.

Producing Geysers, Vents and Volcanoes, all have to be excavated in-game. They only become active when dug out!

Group: Power Producing Geysers, Vents and Volcanoes
You will always have 1 Leaky Oil Fissure AND (2 Small Volcanoes OR (1 Small Volcano and 1 Volcano) OR 2 Volcanoes) AND (3 Natural Gas Geysers OR (2 Natural Gas Geysers and 1 Hydrogen Vent) OR (1 Natural Gas Geysers and 2 Hydrogen Vents) OR 3 Hydrogen Vents).

Incompatible with Geological Inactive and Dormant Traits.

Group: Resource Producing Geysers, Vents and Volcanoes
You will always have 1 Chlorine Gas Vent, 1 Molten Copper Volcano, 1 Molten Gold Volcano and 1 Molten Iron Volcano.
You will either have 1 Carbon Dioxide Geysers OR 1 Carbon Dioxide Vent.
You will either have 1 Hot Polluted Oxygen Vent OR 1 Infectious Polluted Oxygen Vent.

Incompatible with Geological Inactive and Dormant Traits.

Group: Water Producing Geysers, Vents
You will have (2 Cool Slush Geysers OR (1 Cool Slush Geyser and 1 Polluted Water Vent) OR 2 Polluted Water Vents) AND (2 Salt Water Geysers OR (1 Salt Water Geyser and 1 Water Geyser) OR 2 Water Geysers) AND (2 Cool Steam Vents OR (1 Cool Steam Vent and 1 Steam Vent) OR 2 Steam Vents).

Incompatible with Geological Inactive and Dormant Traits.

Group: Object Adders (All vary in strength!)
– Small Boulders
– Medium Boulders
– Large Boulders
– Mixed Boulders
– Geodes
– Large Glaciers
– Slime Splats

Group: Oil Influencers
– Irregular Oil
– Deep Oil

Group: Resource Influencers (Due to the way generation works, allowing several of those to interact would severely hamper their effects! Furthermore it would probably imbalance the maps too much aswell!)
Rich Variants augment the amount of resources on the map, Poor Variants lowers those amounts! Each trait also varies in strength!
– Metal Rich: Aluminum Ore, Copper Ore, Gold Amalgam, Iron Ore, Wolframite, Electrum, Refined Gold, Refined Iron and Lead.
– Metal Poor:
– Mineral Rich: Granite, Igneous Rock, Mafic Rock, Obsidian, Sandstone, Sedimentary Rock, Abyssalyte and Magma! Watch out for the Magma as it could be overpressurized and opening up a magma chamber could result in overspill! Keep your duplicants safe!
– Mineral Poor:
– Resource Rich: Algae, Bleach Stone, Coal, Clay, Diamond, Dirt, Fossil, Oxygenated Rock, Phosporite, Rust, Sand, Slime and Sulfur.
– Resource Poor:
– Gas Rich: Carbon Dioxide, Solid Carbon Dioxide, Chlorine Gas, Hydrogen Gas, Polluted Oxygen, Oxygen and Liquid Oxygen.
– Gas Poor: Covers:
– Liquid Rich: Brine Ice, Polluted Ice, Ice, Snow, Brine, Polluted Water, Saltwater, Water, Solid Crude Oil and Crude Oil. Watch out when opening up chambers with these fluids inside them as they can be overpressurized and would result in overspill! Don’t drown your duplicants!
– Liquid Poor: Covers: See Liquid Rich.

Group: Temperature Influencers
– Frozen Core:
– Cryo Volcanoes: You get 8 Extra Carbon Dioxide Geysers which produce Liquid Carbon Dioxide. Exludes all possible variants of the Geological Activity Group. These Geysers are EXTRA. They do not take the place of random covered Geysers.
– Magma Channels: Excludes Large Glaciers!
– Volcanoes: Exludes all possible variants of the Geological Activity Group, aswell as Large Glaciers!

CryoVolcanoes and Volcanoes are incompatible with all Geological Traits!

Group: Various
– Misaligned Pod Location
– Subsurface Ocean

Take Note:
– A Chlorine Gas Vent is only guaranteed when having the Resource Producing Geysers Trait.
– On Default Oni worlds, you won’t have Random Geysers when you have at least 2 Producing Geysers Traits, unless you roll also Geological Active (4 – 8 randoms) or HyperActive trait (10 – 14 Randoms)
– When having all 3 Producing Traits only Hyperactive Trait has guaranteed 4 – 8 Random Covered Geysers. Geological Active only has the potential of 1 – 2, but 60% of the time it will be none. So I recommend not to combine Geological Active with 3 Producing Traits, as it is 60% chance of wasted trait!

– Neon Eden (Mod with Custom WorldGen) has 24 Random Geysers instead 12! Features also 2 Additional Water Geysers and 1 Natural Gas Geyser
