Ethereal Blade (v.2.19)
——————————–
Introduction
——————————–
Hey everyone,
Finally after lots and lots of finishing touches I’m ready to present You featured class mod that adds Ethereal Blade class to the game. This melee class is themed around utilizing bladed weapons, ethereal projecion techniques and other various skills.
What pushed me to create this class? It was due to constantly feeling underwhelmed how skills felt in vanilla T2 – they supposed be spammed as much as possible, thus making them feel like extension of normal attack. It also removed a sense of "oomph" a skill should have while using it, like in other RPG’s/MMORPG’s. Also the visuals – while some of skills looked awesome, in contrast some looked, well…lackluster to say at least.
Without further ado, lets step right in to the main details.

Class features
——————————–
—————————————————————————————————————————————
Ethereal Blade is weapon themed character using BLADED WEAPONS, as such, skills and passives from TWO OF HIS SKILL TREES (Finesse and Overpower) will work when wielding (Great)Swords or (Great)Axes ONLY!!!
Technique skill tree is not limited to weapon type, so for a really hardcore run You can use only this tree with any weapon of choice (Not tested and not currently recommended!)
—————————————————————————————————————————————
– Core character gameplay reimagined: Ethereal Blade is cooldown-heavy oriented character, meaning his skills depending on tier (the bigger the tier the better the skill) will have different cooldown periods, thats why remember to pump up those skills that You really like! Not only You will get damage and increased effects and bonuses per each tier, but cooldown will also decrease for each skill level (there are exceptions though!)
– 3 unique skill trees with painfully hand-crafted skill animations:
* Finesse (Requires dual wielding axes or swords – skills decrease enemy damage, cause bleeding and influence critical strikes)
*Techniques (Usable with any loadout – buffs, utility skills and offensive projection techniques)
* Overpower (Requires two-handed axe or sword – skills inflict stuns, ignore armor and have bigger raw power but at slightly increased cooldown periods than Finesse tree skills)
– Custom charge bar:
Similar to Outlander charge mechanic – EB recieves bonus to Attack Speed, All Damage, Damage Reduction and Dodge chance up to 10% by attacking his enemies with normal attacks ONLY.
– Passives now cap at 10 Level
Passive skills now now have 10 levels max without sacrificing any of their power, thanks to that any leftover skill points may be put somewhere else.
– Addes some miscellaneous custom sounds for skills.

Recommended Mods
——————————–
While Ethereal Blade does not require any other mods to run, some of those available in workshop do make playing game a better experience – I personally suggest trying Torchlight II Essentials, it’s an awesome mod compilation that make playing more enjoyable while retaining most of base game intact:
– T2 Essentials: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=138228035
Also I recommend using ‘no class requirements’ mods that remove class requirements from items. I did not create any custom items and didn’t fiddle around existing ones, this mod will allow you to equip items tied to vanilla classes with ease:

Important Disclaimer
——————————–
As gameplay is completely changed from Vanilla experience with skills and their usage and power, there may be some issues regarding their strength.
If You do find some of skills too weak or overpowered, please let me know in the discussion topic I have created regarding ballance issues.
This mod, just like any other class mod, can cause some issues to character when playing multiplayer, even more so with overhaul mods – this may cause glitches and crashes when loading character after multiplayer session, during leveling up, and so on. It is more advised to play this class mod in singleplayer only.

I guess this goes without saying, but some of assets used in creating this mod are not mine. Skill icons, while some are recolored or even completely redone by me, are all property of: Tree of Saviors MMO, DoTA and League of Legends. Character arts and other icons come from various artists that I have encountered during my random web searches. Sounds used are from Dark Souls, Devil May Cry 3 and Dragon Ball – as You probably recognize some of those already.
Also thanks to Runic games to creating this classic action rpg masterpiece.
Thats it for now, thanks for reading this horrible wall of text and have fun playing!
