Description:

Varies the stats a bit so pets have more variety. Want more dps? Get a big cat. Want more health? Go with the panda.

This was a zero-sum balance around heath, damage, armor, resistances, reach bonus (more attack damage), and dmg react radius. However not all the pets were balanced to begin with! It is still that way.

The changes are generally not extreme. Most pets lost ~4% armor and a ~10-15% loss of health as well. Smaller pets will be less impressive in battle, but offset this with better resistances (up to ~21%).

various changes:

  • Bear sounds like a bear.
  • Small creatures have a lower reach multiplier.
  • Apex predators like the big cat and the bear now do more damage.
  • All furry creatures are less immune to fire.
  • Bigger creatures and furrier creatures tend to stand up to ice better.
  • Bigger creatures stand up to electricity better.
  • Some creatures now move significantly faster (to match nature).
  • Many creatures are now not quite as likely to help out when they see damage.
  • Adds the bat and the burrower as pets. (both have affixes, the bat is immune to blindness and the burrower has a chance to proc an immobility attack)
  • Creatures that have not fared so well get a reduced travel time to town. (badger, cat, ferret, papillon)
