Strategic Resources Improvement
With the resource changes in Gathering Storm I found the strategic resource balance underwhelming. Especially maintaining the energy requirements and military in the late eras. However I didn’t want to simply just give extra yields on each improved resource. There are already mods for that purpose.
I made this mod to increase each strategic resource yields while advancing in culture, adding 7 new Civics. One for each strategic resource. So you can decide if you need more resource in the cost of slower culture advancement. The Civics costs aren’t final also, I’m open for discussion. I know there are policies to increase yields, but I didn’t find them enough. Although I calculated them into the sum balance. Which isn’t final, need more testing and feedbacks. You can find a list below of the extra yields per strategic resource and the corresponding Civic’s name.
– Joust: increasing every improved Horse yields by 1
– Smithy: increasing every improved Iron yields by 1
– Railway Network: increasing every improved Coal yields by 2
– Alchemy: increasing every improved Niter yields by 2
– Trusts: increasing every improved Oil yields by 3
– War efficiency: increasing every improved Aluminum yields by 2
– War preparation: increasing every improved Uranium yields by 2
Civics boosts are implemented.

The mod is in it’s early beta stage. No blackbox testing were done. Should work with other mods, which don’t add new Civics to the tree. With those the mod can conflict – not tested.
This mod obviously requires Gathering Storm expansion to work.
I’m open for any constructive ideas. Please note that I’m not a modder, this is my first mod ever, so keep calm.
