Experience 7,000 years of Salt Mining in Hallstatt! Your guest will delight in the tiny village market square building facades (as budget only allowed for building exteriors). The ultimate reward awaits guests who hike up the mountain to the Salt Mine Visitor Center to see what’s shaking.

Once inside the tour, guests explore multiple levels of the mine as they ride down the two sets of minders slides, just as were used in Medieval times. Exhilarating!

Journeying through the winding caves, guests experience the glowing glittering (sparking?) reds and oranges of the iron in the salt crystals. Mesmerizing!

Next on view a wonderfully illuminating water and light show that projects neolithic images. Then, we spice things up as the mine car transports guests into space to view the solar system and learn how the elemental forces created the salt. Enriching!

We sneak in one last peppering of education as animatronics (well props, animatronics coming… soon?) explain the significance of salt in the Iron Age from 800-400BC, known as the Hallstatt Era. Claustrophobic!

Mix and marinate through pure magic galleries of animal sculptures made from salt. Wow, salt elephant… salt lion… salt um? horse?? Kosher!

Finally grind up the track and emerge from the tunnel to the top of the imposing viewing platform. Gaze out at the heavenly vista of [whatever scenery is in your park]. Breathtaking!

As guests head down the final slide drop their eyes fix upon an ancient geyser. Watch them freak out upon the realization that they are about to be soaked and as salty as a sea captain. Thrilling!

Oh look, salt snake… Magnificent!

You will only leave wanting for more cornices. At least the roof is transparent so Parkitects can experience the fun along with your guests. Compromise!
