Description:

Isaac saw a delicious-looking steak lying around in the basement and took a bite without giving it any thought. Turns out it was rotting and infested with tapeworms! Eww! Isaac spew it out as fast as he could, but it was already too late…

This mod is inspired by edmund’s game Tapeworm (I know i’m late, but better late than never heh)

How does Infected Steak work

There’s a random chance a tear you fire gets replaced by a tapeworm. The tapeworm will act as temporary familiar for that room and moves with similar movement as pin towards your enemies. When they jump out they’ll bite the first enemy they collide against and deal equal to the player’s tear damage.

The item Infested Steak can be found in the treasure room.

There are 4 types of tapeworms:
Greg (Red): has a chance to burn the enemy (2 seconds, dealing the player’s tear damage in total).
Petunia (Pink): has a chance to charm the enemy (3 seconds).
Boris (Black): has a chance to slow the enemy (4 seconds).
Minkus (Grey): has a chance to confuse the enemy (4 seconds).

Notes:
– Their random spawn chance goes considerably down with each spawned tapeworm in the room
– Picking up the Infected Steak multiple times increases your tapeworm spawn chances
– If the player has an item causing him not to shoot tears tapeworms can come out at random (same chances as shooting a tear every second)
– The status effect chance is 25% and is affected by luck (-5 or below no status effects, 15+ luck always status effects)
