Description:

What does this mod do?
It changes the AI priority for buildings and should now make the AI first do buildings that make money, then manpower and last forcelimit. With a decent chance to build "province governing cost" reducing buildings.

Mod compatibility: Those that doesn’t modify the file "00_buildings.txt" might work
Ironman-mode compatible: To be honest… I don’t think so

AI should now (if they have the money and tech) build buildings that actually make them money
instead of spamming docks & coastal defense everywhere.

The AI might still make some stupid choices on where to build. However the AI should now build temples, workshops, marketplaces and manufactories before anything else.

AI priority changes works in the steam workshop version!

New Building modifiers: (work around is needed to get these modifications)
Court House – +1 possible number of buildings & state maintenance -20% (the rest is the same)
Town Hall – +1 possible number of buildings & state maintenance -40% (the rest is the same)
state maintenance slightly reduced and +1 possible number of buildings.

Work around to get the above modifications:
Short and simple, you need to have a local copy of the mod that you use instead of the one from the steam workshop. But first you need to subscribe to the mod to be able to make a local copy.

How to make a local copy:
Where you have steam installed go in to steamappsworkshopcontent2368502265188687
236850 = EU4 mod folder
2265188687 = AI Build Priority Fix mod folder

Now copy the folder "2265188687"
Go to C:UserUsernameDocumentsParadox InteractiveEuropa Universalis IVmod
Now paste the folder "2265188687" into there… You can now rename the folder.
I highly suggest you rename folder "2265188687" to "AI Build Priority Fix" (but it’s your choice)
You should now find the mod as a local version next time you launch EU4.

¤ Make sure that the steam workshop version is turned off if you use local version.

I have done some initial testing with these building priorities and have seen some promising result.
All testing has been done during the first 50-60 years of the game, so cannot confirm, as of now, that AI builds correctly when it comes to late game.

Please let me know if you come across any weird AI builds and I’ll see what I can do.
eg. coastal AI OPM building a dock or AI spamming temples when workshops would be better…

NB! Please remember that the AI need to have the money and the required tech to build stuff!
AI that is in debt will probably not build any buildings until that debt is gone!
Also the AI is more or less hard coded so there is not much I can do beyond changing the building priorites!
