Description:

The BB 36000 are a series of SNCF electric locomotives, nicknamed ‘Astride’ (Asynchronous Tricurrent Drive Engine).
Built by Alstom, they fall into the category of European polytension asynchronous locomotives.
They are designed to accept three different types of voltage and can therefore operate in Belgium, Luxembourg, Italy, France and later as far as the Netherlands.
