Description:

"It does what it says on the tin". ~ some Tech Priest

HQs produce core infantry units
  • Core units for each army are: Guardsmen, Ork Boyz, Chaos Marines, Tactical Marines, Fire Warriors, Termagants, Guardians and Necron Warriors.
  • HQ production rate: 6 (eg. 6 turns to produce Marines, 4 turns to produce Guardsmen).
  • Core units can still be built in the infantry production building.
  • Space Marines: each Fortress Expansion upgrade adds +6 production rate to the HQ.

This was inspired by Dr.Jesus at the Gladius Discord server. It encourages use of basic infantry units for each army and makes the early game more engaging.

This mod is compatible with current AI and makes for some fun games. You will see a wave of early infantry from the AI. Because the production queue in this facility is not competing with elite options they will keep producing these units the whole game.

If things are getting too hot too fast for your taste check out the -33% SLOWERHQ+Core Unit Production mod. The lower unit production works better with some AI such as AM and Nids.

Another mod that does something similar and compatible is 30% rising price of ELITE units by -=Prace=-. It will stop the AI from spamming infinite super units in the end game.

* WARNING: This mod will cause a crash if you attempt to run together with "HQ+Core Unit Production 33% SLOWER" because they attempt to edit the same files.

** Should be compatible with most mods but will not work with custom army mods (Eg, Blood Angels, White Scars…).
