Description:

This mod is currently not compatible with the Color of Madness DLC.

This mod attempts to remove hero death from the game while keeping the difficulty intact.

List of changes:

1.Deathblow chance is 0
–This prevents heroes dying from damage.

2.When heroes reach death’s door, they do not recieve any more stress for the remainder of the quest.
–This prevents heroes dying from heart attacks.

3.While heroes are at death’s door, they are not able to perform any of their abilities.

4.When heroes reach death’s door, they recieve no healing for the remainder of the quest.
–This change, combined with change #3, results in heroes not being able to do anything except pass and move after they reach death’s door for the remainder of the quest.

5.When heroes reach death’s door, they become stealthed until the player decides to camp.
–This prevents monsters from performing direct attacks on heroes who have reached death’s door. Because heroes who have reached death’s door cannot die from damage and take no stress, these attacks would be pointless.

6.Heroes can now retreat from the last mission of the darkest dungeon.

7.No heroes are lost upon retreating from any darkest dungeon mission.

8.POTENTIAL SPOILER:: "Come Unto Your Maker" has been removed. ::POTENTIAL SPOILER

9.The antiquarians ability "Protect Me" now only guards for one round.
–With the other changes listed in this mod, this ability is too powerful if it lasts two rounds. This is because the antiquarian can choose an ally at death’s door to guard them, rendering themselves invincible against non-aoe attacks. If this ability lasts two rounds, it allows the antiquarian to alternate "Protect Me" and damage abilites while being guarded the whole time.

10.The crimson curse no longer kills heroes.

NOTES:

–Testing was done on all of these changes, but please note that there is still a possibility of encountering serious bugs.

–If both Reynauld and Dismas reach death’s door during the intro mission (the one at the very beginning of the game before you get to the hamlet) it is not possible to progress further with this mod installed.

–Heroes who are afflicted or virtued before they reach death’s door will continue to act out after they reach death’s door.

–This mod may not be compatible with other mods that change character info, effects, monster ai, base rules, plot quests, the crimson curse, and buffs.

–This mod is only for the original heroes.
