Description:

Adds Heavy and Light variants of standard Kevlar Armor.

This intends to introduce a bit more variety and choice into the early-game, especially when paired with mods such as Point-Based Not Created Equal.

Kevlar Armor (Base-game standard Kevlar Armor):

  • +1 HP
  • Reclassified into Medium Armor.

Light Kevlar Armor (Repurposed from Resistance Warrior Kevlar Armor):

  • +1 Mobility
  • +15 Dodge
  • Reclassified into Light Armor.

Heavy Kevlar Armor (Uses TLP Armor assets):

  • +1 HP
  • +1 Armor
  • Can optionally be given an extra Utility Slot (Though I’d recommend removing the previous two bonuses if you choose to do that).
  • -2 Mobility
  • Classified into Heavy Armor.

These stats and attributes can be modified through the "XComHeavyAndLightKevlarArmors.ini" file. However, if you want more settings to toy around with, then I recommend using the Armor & Vest Config mod, as it’s far more versatile (The template name for Heavy Kevlar Armor is simply "HeavyKevlarArmor").

Disclaimer: Yes, technically this mod makes the early-game slightly easier, as standard Kevlar Armor receives a flat + 1 HP bonus, I recommend adjusting your difficultly however you see-fit.

Compatibility
  • Uses an OPTC to modify the standard Kevlar Armor and Resistance Warrior Kevlar Armor, if another mod alters these items, their changes might override/get overridden by this mod.
