Description:

Ever wanted your colonist’s favorite duster or hat to be made out of literal gold?
Look no further. This is a collection of strong, durable and craftable fabric like materials that are used for making clothes and some armor, with better stats than most vanilla clothing materials.

They are meant to bridge the gap between commonly available fabrics and leathers, and more advanced textiles such as synthread, devilstrand and hyperweave, in the most vanilla way possible. No new worbenches. No overly complex recipes. No overpowered stats.

Compatibility patches for several mods already available. All available weaves and scale fabric provide a bit higher protection against sharp damage and a bit lower protection against blunt damage, when compared to their pure material counterparts. Further details below:

RESEARCH

Complex Clothing -> Segmented Clothing Material – Enables manufacturing of scale fabric.

Fabrication -> Standard Material Weaving – Enables manufacturing of standard weaves.

Advanced Fabrication -> Complex Material Weaving – Enables manufacturing of complex weaves. Multi-analyzer required to determine the best way of manufacturing such weaves.

RECIPES

Scale Fabric: (Made at Hand and Electric Tailor Benches)

50 Suitable Material (like Jade or Bone) + 25 Steel + 25 Lightleather = 50 Scale Fabric

Standard and Complex Weaves: (Both made at Fabrication Bench)

50 Material + 50 Cloth = 50 Weave Fabric

All of them have a chance to appear as rewards and in inventories from exotic traders. Let me know if further rebalancing is required, or if you’re getting/seeing these fabrics too often.
