Description:

Compatible with both the base game and the Tale of the Dragon Expansion

This mod restores the classic in-game UI themes from the original Age of Mythology and Age of Mythology: The Titans. Each major god now has their UI theme from the original versions of the game.

This mod just changes the look of the UI, so it is 100% compatible with AoM: EE’s new UI functions, as well as all mods that alter the UI functions, such as Ekanta’s UI .

For the original 9 major gods (Zeus, Hades, Poseidon, Ra, Set, Isis, Thor, Odin and Loki) their UI styles have been taken from the original, pre-Titans Age of Mythology, and therefore don’t have ‘The Titans’ logo splashed across the right-hand panel.

For the three major gods added in The Titans (Kronos, Oranos and Gaia), I have removed The Titans logo from their themes for consistency’s sake, and to bring them in line with the original cvilisations. To my knowledge, this is the first time this consistency across the original themes has been available, so here’s a smiley face 🙂

This mod also restores the in-game pause, chat, history, tribute etc menus to their original classic styling, which changes for each civilisation.

(Please note that this also changes the history screen styling when loaded from the main menu, as this screen uses the same files as civ menu styles. This is the same as in the original game.)

Note: This mod is different from the ‘Ensemble UI’ mod uploaded by Skybox – that mod reskins all menus, removes the villager resource counter and isn’t compatible with UI mods created for AoM: EE.

Why not try AoM Classic Menu Skin mod to restores the original blue and gold menu theme used in Age of Mythology?

Known issues

When loading the History screen from the main menu, the game sometimes uses a random civ style for this section, rather than the default Greek. This is a glitch with the game, and is not related to this mod. This does not affect the history style used when actually in-game.
