A simple mod that

1) Eliminates arrows that go straight up in the air vertically (They now behave like arrows not paper airplanes)

2) Reduces unnecessary friendly fire. No realistic target, no unrealistic arrow.

3) Does not affect airial targeting.

4) 360 degree firing arc for foot archers.

5) Realstic impacts – Hit peasants with arrows and they will not go flying

Only problem is that sometimes a unit will stop will firing unless given an attack order (in a fire at will state). It is annoying when it happens.

All non grenade type projectiles need a line of sight in order to fire and will do so with a more realistic firing arc.

I could not stand seeing arrows being fired straight up in the air (with no force either) landing on my own units because there is one opposition lord/hero fighting in the middle of one of them, all the while there are 3000 enemy combatants in plain view. It’s just stupid, from both a physics and a tactical standpoint.

This also removes all the silly effects from the Wood Elves (and more) – laser sounds, colours etc (I was surprised not to see Darth Vader down there in the action). You can also now also turn off their (now normal) arrow trails by selecting no arrow trails in the options menu.

I am not engrossed in the non-elven factions as yet. If there are anymore silly effects that need to go from standard (non magical) units let me know and I can update.

I can’t play without this now so I thought I should share it.

Will not be compatible with any mod that edits the projectiles in the data folder. If you want this to work in another mod that does, you are going to have to edit that mod manually. Sorry. Will not work with custom units (that are ranged) either, unless you do the same. Double sorry.
