Here Be Monsters is a series of mods that will add new enemies to Darkest Dungeon. This instalment is a little different: it aims to rework the Gargoyle enemies into a more troubling foe for your dungeoneering. Vanilla Gargoyles are something of a pushover; this mod will make them more of a threat to your heroes!

Specifically, this rework changes Gargoyles by:

  • Making them spawn on Apprentice level missions
  • Increased HP from 7/10/14 to 10/14/19
  • Altering Flurry of Claws so it’s a single target attack with a much stronger chance to push a hero back 1 (gains additional chance to attack both ranks at Veteran and Champion)
  • Adding extra mashes with Gargoyles and other Ruins enemies (note: they will still spawn occasionally in the Weald, as per vanilla)

    NOTE: This portion of the mod will not be compatible with other mods that alter Gargoyles! This includes Scarlet Ruins, The Nightmare, and things such as. However: It will not break your save, rather the mod simply won’t work.

    To avoid: Simply load this mod above other mods that may change the monster.
