EVA Core – Redux
Adds an advanced hostile faction to the game.
Once EVA Security Corps were a group of elite mercenaries who provided security for an orbiting research center owned by a powerful interplanetary corporation. In this center a research on the edge of the occult was conducted, the goal was to find a unique combination of genes that would make eternal life possible.
Countless experiments led to terrible results, mutants, geeks and demihumans appeared. In the end, even the directors of the corporation were horrified by what was happening and gave the order to stop the research. Upon learning of this, the leaders of the research group launched a virus into the combat chips of the Security Corps soldiers and completely subjugated them. The orbital station was captured, mercenaries sent by the corporation were killed.
Now the Security Corps serves the maddened group of scientists, destroying populations of entire planets on their orders and capturing slaves to continue the horrific experiments. They constanly expand their numbers and use advanced weapons and are considered a serious threat even for imperial outposts.
- permanently hostile spacer faction
- combat power compared to the Empire and mechanoids
- 2 human and 2 zombie raid types
- they never flee
- most of units are slow but well-armored
- the gear is not craftable

The main fighting force of the Security Corps. They use double-barreled magnetic rifles that are deadly effective at close quarters, but heavy non-powered armor makes them somewhat vulnerable in open spaces.
Lancers are the first line of attack of the Security Corps. Equipped with energy shields and heavy armor, they are dangerous enemies in close combat. Their only weakness is inability to withstand any long-term confrontation – incredible amount of combat drugs in bloodstream makes lancers lose control and go berserk very often.
Purifiers are the most fearsome enemies for those not wearing power armor. Their rifles release jets of superheated gas that instantly ignites clothing and flammable fortifications.
Officers coordinate troopers on the battlefield and provide fire support with their long-range rifles.
Biozombies are not dangerous singly or in small groups, but in large numbers they are a deadly threat. Their bites lead to infections and uncontrollable mutations, and their unnatural vitality allows them to withstand a huge amount of damage. However, their fast metabolism makes them extremely vulnerable to cold temperatures and they are too slow to catch up even an average runner.
This soldier died and was reanimated by a specially engineered biozombie virus. Some of them retain a semblance of intelligence and are even capable of using weapons.
