He Jin survives the assassination attempt on his life in 189 CE by the unscrupulous eunuchs. A loyal official manages to get him to safety and tends to his wounds for many months. Upon his recovery He Jin is enraged and wants revenge, but hearing of the aftermath of the usurpation, his goal is to restore the Han dynasty to it’s original glory.
