JK’s Re-balanced Industry Pack
This is a pack of 6 re-balanced production buildings designed for people who play on Hard Mode and want a bigger economic challenge!
These are nerfed versions of what I found to be relatively over-powered buildings in the game. The goal is to make the game more difficult by making these superstar industries less productive.
It heavily nerfs oil, coal, and power, and moderately nerfs livestock and clothing, by decreasing worker productivity and factory outputs.
THIS MOD MAKES THE GAME SIGNIFICANTLY HARDER. IT DOES NOT CONTAIN NEW MODELS OR FUNCTIONALITY, IT JUST MAKES THESE BUILDINGS LESS PRODUCTIVE.
It contains modded versions of these buildings:
Coal Processing: workers required increased from 20 to 30; daily production decreased from 120t to 75t (inputs unchanged – 210t of ore).
Coal Power Plant: workers required increased from 20 to 40; daily production decreased from 1400 MWh to 1000 MWh (inputs unchanged – 24t of coal).
Oil Rig: daily production decreased from 7t to 3.5t.
Oil Refinery: daily production decreased from 125t fuel and 75t bitumen to 100t fuel and 60t bitumen (workers unchanged – 500; inputs unchanged – 250t oil).
Livestock Farm: daily production decreased from 5t to 3t (workers unchanged – 50; inputs unchanged – 10t crops).
Clothing Factory: daily production decreased from 1.2t to 0.8t (workers unchanged – 80; inputs unchanged – 2.4t fabric).
If you use this mod, you can still build the vanilla versions of these buildings, but the idea is to treat these as replacements.
This mod was developed and tested under version 0.7.9.18.
All comments or feedback are more than welcome!
HUGE thanks to Rever’s Games (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCaYMzi5hDyouLX64ofGC18A) for being the first tester of the original offline version of this mod and giving me great feedback.

Footnote:
the numbers I arrived at were based on analysis I did of worker and industry productivity per building. I noticed that the above industries were vastly superior to any others in terms of export productivity, and I wanted a challenge where it wasn’t always a foregone conclusion that I would want to build coal and oil as soon as possible.
