deep below the estate,where the fresh water streams empty into the cove,there lives a small pink salamander.
these are the chronicles of one such creature…
i see them.fish people.making idols above.the idol,i feel its hum.
inside the hum i hear it,a voice.the voice calls to me.i cannot escape it.i must obey.
EXPLORE. i follow the voice,crawling out of my beloved watery home.
the cold stone floor feels strange beneath my webbed toes.
EAT. the voice directs me to a meal.a giant dead sea snail.its rancid flesh tastes foul.
but the voice compels me to eat.i eat.and i eat.devouring all nutrients.
REST. the voice directs me to sleep.i obey.crawling into the now empty snail shell,i find shelter.
and sleep within my armored nest.
AWAKEN. the voice jolts me awake.my nest has shrunk.no.not shrunk.i have grown.the voice compels me to move.
i take my nest along,propped upon my shoulders.
FEED. i cannot escape the voice.something approaches.four humans huddled around a torch.
the voice pushes me towards these humans…i must feed..
