Lux Deorum
Hey! Recently I have been working on the mod that is highly inspired "Lux Invicta" mod for CK2; of course my mod don’t have such scope, it is very small as of now actualy…
So what it does, right?
This mods adds four religions that are inspired by the religious movements, mostly in late antiquity, they are more or less alt-historical; ok and their list looks like that:
– Christianity:
— Maryism: inspired by the cult of mary and various fertility cults like Isis ones, etc. (may need more fleshing out since it was the first one I made)
— Helianism: in early Christianity greeks often associated Jesus Christ with solar god Helios; it is a Christian religion heavily influenced culturaly by greco-roman civilization.
– Greco-Roman:
— Cult of Sol: ‘creme de la creme’ of Lux Invicta and my tribute to it; the religion represents attempts of later Roman Emperors to transform Greco-Roman religion into more monotheistic cult to combat growing influence of Christianity, and it manifested in (once again) the sun worship.
— Mythraism (my personal favourite!): highly mysterious religion; mythraism was prelevant among roman soldiers in late aniquity and was based on secret initiations, rituals, and brotherhood.
In addition to those religions the mod also includes my other mod (but a bit altered) that adds character stats to tenets, so that new religions and religions in general are more interesting and balanced!
I didn’t want to add characters that start with those religions (I may add them in the future tho) so you would have to convert to them, or, what is easier, try using character designer.
I plan to add even more religions in the future! Right now Egyptian (Kemetic) ones are on my radar but be sure to comment and give me suggestions on what should I work (although it may take some time), and wheather you have any other suggestions or complains about tenets, doctrines, god names, stuff like that; oh and bugs and typos, knowing myself I probably made some, lol.
Also I hope that mod title is in correct latin, hehe.
So, don’t let the Light of Antiquity be extinguished again!
