Vindholk SAR 165 – Extreme Speed Rescue And Utility Boat
The Vindholk Search And Rescue 165 is a 16,5 meter long ultra high speed rescue and utility vessel built for rough conditions and high speed stability. It has a regular top speed of 104 knots, but can be pushed to almost 120 knots. It has a modern and minimalistic bridge design with most tasks being automated and enabled through two large touch screens. Every single component of the boat is easy to access for repairs and it’s easy to use with just one person.
The boat is equipped with an automatic kill cord stop, which will stop the boat if there is no players on board.
Both the water cannon and the search light is controlled from the navigator seat.
Next to the door on the rear deck is two mag all’s on cables you can use with the towing winch.
The Autopilot (AP) and heading hold (HH) can be activated/deactivated either through the NAV screen tab, or with the hotkeys 2 and 3. The heading hold will also deactivate if you try to steer when it is enabled.
To unlock the top speed, go down to the engine room and disable the RPS limiter.
You can enable the remote control mode and set channel on the panel to the right of the driver seat.
If you enable the Anti Collision, it will stop the boat and take down the throttle if it detects an oncoming obstacle.
You can refuel the boat with the fluid connector on the deck to the starboard side of the superstructure.
Almost all your problems can be solved by just lowering the throttle. This boat is insanely overpowered for its size and have a high fuel consumption and heat generation.
For the sake of fuel and engine heat, it’s better to regulate your speed with the throttle lever [Up/Down] than constantly using [W/S].
You can do parallel movement with this boat, by using the arrow keys [Left/Right] to the side you want to go, and counteract that with [A/D] turning in the opposite direction. When adjusting your heading you will move parallel and while you use [W/S] to adjust how far forwards and back you are moving. This is the same techniques used on real life water jet boats.
If the battery should be completely dead and you can’t switch to the other one to start up, you can go down to the engine room and manually use cables to connect the batteries or main power to each other on the panel by the main power key.
