Zh-19 "Hacksaw"
The Zh-19 (NATO reporting name “Hacksaw”) is a medium transport and utility helicopter. Originally developed as an Anti-submarine helicopter the type is now mainly used for rescue and transport operations. Equipped with a winch, searchlight, rescue equipment and multiple sling points the Zh-19 is more than adequately equipped for its task.

Startup checklist:
Overhead panel:
-Turn on the master battery switch
-Turn on the avionics master switch
-Turn on the generator bus switch
-Set lights as desired
Engine control panel:
-Turn on the fuel supply
-Set throttle to “Idle” or “Flight”
-Press and hold the starter button until the engine fires
Use Remote Control
-Equip the RC (located near the rear door)
-Switch to channel 4
-Press 6 to enable RC control
-Disable RC by flipping the switch on the overhead panel (prevents unwanted takeover of control)
-Use button 1 and 2 to control the winch
