Description:

A Huey for rescueing people, simple as that.

I got inspired by NJ’s Rescue Huey and I loved working on this one.
Cockpit is labeled, you should be able to start it easily and the yellow harness is the one that controls the winch, orange one is for passenger. (if you play solo atleast) No Idea if the radio works, I play solo so haven’t tested it.

Don’t forget the new rotors produce torque drag resulting in the aircraft yawing, I tried getting a PID to counter this but my PID skills are like the dirt stuck under your shoe. Press and hold Left Alt to trim your vehicle and adjust as needed. Personally I like they added rotor drag.
I changed it so the gyro is on by default, you still have the option to turn it off.

20 RPS is enough for flight, but the limit is 30.

Have fun and let me know what you think of it. Cheers!

It uses the following microcontrollers:
NJ Navigation Waypoint Autopilot (Boats/Planes/Helicopters)

Sheepdog and WH1T3_No1SE’s VHF RADIO – COMPACT

Additional info:

I hear from multiple people that it shakes and does weird things. It works just fine for me on the stable and experimental branch so I don’t know what causes it and how to fix it.
I’d appreciate it if you described the exact steps you take leading to the undesired behaviour.

20 RPS is enough for normal flight, 30 may be too much power (possibly causing vibrations/shakes/jumping up and down) but can be necessary when you tow something underneath.

I’m aware that if you leave the GPS autopilot on while having arrived at your location, it will keep flying around and turning and eventually it will shake itself apart, Turn it off when you arrive at your location. From there you can choose to turn on position hold. Having both GPS AP and position hold on can cause shaking. I will take a look at it and fix it sometime.

Also, I don’t really accept friend invites on Steam. If you want to talk to me you can find me on the Stormworks Discord, same name, same profile pic. Thanks
