Description:

Synopsis:

This mod adds both a cosmite reward drop and a cosmite income to silver and gold landmarks. Also, this mod adds anti-cheese protection to inhabitant fights to keep you from abusing them.

Description:

Silver and gold landmarks have often felt unrewarding to clear, especially near the end game. Large drops of basic resources and additional basic resource income don’t really mean much when you control 10+ cities. Now, these landmarks give a large cosmite reward on exploring them, ~120 / ~240 cosmite for silver and gold landmarks respectively. Additionally, controling a bronze / silver / gold landmark gives 5 / 10 / 20 cosmite a turn. These changes make clearing these structures a strategic priority and fixes the utter lack of cosmite income scaling in the game.

The secret tech doctrines the silver tier landmarks unlock have been removed. I didn’t like the concept that you gained a substantial bonus if the appropriate secret landmark spawned near you. In the future all silver landmarks will grant you the ability to produce a new secret tech unit (even if you aren’t the corresponding secret tech). The designs are getting pretty locked in but I am having an absolute struggle learning how to model organic units that don’t look like Nurgle’s discombobulated left ball-sack.

To protect these bonuses, anti-cheese protection measures were added to silver and gold landmarks as well as the new structures added by the Tyrannosaurus update. Inhabitants gain “Well Stocked,” which grants Resurgence and a full heal after combat. This makes retreat cheesing a much less viable strategy.

Compatibility:
This mod alters the entity records for bronze, silver, and gold landmarks and the records for the added structures in the Tyrannosaurus mod. It will be incompatible with other mods that do the same.
