Description:
Baku–Surachany EMU

This is the first electric multiple unit produced in the USSR. It was intended for Baku–Sabuntschi–Surachany (Azerbaijan) and produced by Mytischtschinsjy Wagon Plant. This plant had no any experience in EMU, but have been one of the main producer of Soviet trams. That’s why first Soviet EMU looks like large tram. Those trains worked in Baku from 1926 to 1940.
