Here Be Monsters is a series of mods that will add new enemies to Darkest Dungeon. This instalment follows in the footsteps of the Gargoyle rework, making Ectoplasm enemies more of a threat to unwitting adventurers, inflicting harrowing debuffs and multiplying out of control!

Specifically, this rework changes Ectoplasms by:

  • Making Large Ectoplasms split into a regular Ectoplasms on death! They don’t get an action until the round after their death, so be sure to finish up quickly before they start spawning again.
  • Making them heal on their summoning moves and inflict a -hp debuff until camp, along with not being able to summon on a miss. Rev up those Herbs.
  • Decreasing HP across the board as well as making them immune to blight.
  • Adding debuffs on hit to Apprentice level Ectoplasms.
  • Adding slime visuals to their attacks.

NOTE: This mod will not be compatible with other mods that alter Ectoplasms! However, it will not break your save, rather the mod simply won’t work.

To avoid: Simply load this mod above other mods that may change the monsters.
