Elections!
This mod makes it so that republics can no longer appoint characters to offices. Instead, the offices will be granted every time an election occurs.
If an office holder dies, a new one is going to get appointed at the next election, meaning that his seat will stay vacant for a while.
Families are still going to become scorned, so this mod makes the game harder. This will be subject to change, but i should advise anyone that tries to use this mod that this aspect might be game breaking. The most popular and skilled will be elected and this might mean that you could eventually have all families scorned, giving you a big loyalty problem.
There is still a chance that a character is going to ask you to grant him an office, and you’ll be unable to do it directly. The way you can try to help him out is making him more "electable", such as helping him become more popular.
The elections are weighted towards the mosk skilled and popular, and the same applies to party leaders and heads of families.
This mod also includes a trait for every roman character that becomes: Censor; Praetor; Tribunus Plebis; or Praefectus Militaris. It’s basically Senatorial Traits + Elections.
The likelihood someone is going to get elected follows this pattern:
Elections for offices start with the Censor, then Praetor, Tribune of the Soldiers, Praefectus Militaris, Pontifex Maximus, Augur, Tribune of the Plebs, and last, Vulnerarius (this also applies to non-romans, even thought the names might be different).
Elections always consider the stats of the character accordingly. So if someone has the highest charisma skill in the country, he is likely to become an official that specializes in the charisma skill.
The most skilled character is almost twice as likely to gain every office than the most popular character.
Popular characters are the second most likely to gain office.
Heads of families and party leaders are the third most likely to gain offices.
Remember, they are only LIKELY to gain office, you will see other characters gaining office as well.
TODO:
– Roman age restrictions for offices;
– Events to intervene in elections;
– Different Roman GUI for offices;
– Button to hold elections for vacant offices;
– Different term lenghts for offices;

– Make offices stackable (e.g. 1+ active Praetors)
THIS IS NOT IRONMAN COMPATIBLE!
RESEARCHERS AND OTHER JOBS ARE STILL APPOINTABLE!
