What is this?

So have you ever wanted to actually wear good looking clothes instead of armor in-case you get attacked? Nanotech Belts are designed to replace armor and come in 4 variants , flak , marine , recon and cataphract. Each belt corresponds to each type of armor in each category and gives more or less the same bonus to armor. The belts take up a utility slot (so no jump-packs or shield belts)

Whats this bubble?

The shield bubble is much like the shieldbelt (actually shares some of the code), its only shown when drafted/enemy faction so its not there all the time ;). This also makes it easy to tell which ones are on colonists

How do i get them?

To get nanotech belts you either need to research them or buy them from traders.

  • Nanotech is a base-tech and will be used for things later
  • Each belt type requires extra research and the type of armor researched too , aka nanotech belt flak requires flak armor and nanotech belt flak researched too

Note

These belts are designed to replace armor so i dont reccomend wearing them with armor (This Will Be Addressed)
Also armor only stacks to 200% so you wouldnt get much out of it anyway

To Do:
  • Design code to detect if a pawn is wearing armor (not apparel) and add a modifier to belts / deactivate them
  • Touch up textures and add general improvements
  • Add a workbench just for Nanotech belts (Currently made on fabrication bench)
  • Add unique descriptions to each belt
  • Create spawnlists so you can get raided by pawns wearing these
