Blight Popper

This mod adds a building similar to the firefoam popper, but it’s for blights instead of fires.

Blight Popper!
It requires 25 Steel, 1 Herbal Medicine, 1 Neutroamine and 1 Industrial component to build.
It detects the blight in 5 radius away, creates a fume explosion with radius of 7.5 and clears every blight in it.
Pawns with breathing capacity in the blast radius get affected with a mild hediff, which shown in the picture at it’s highest stage. This hediff clears itself within a few hours.
* Can be added to saves, can be removed in the middle. If you uninstall the mod with a blight popper on the map, it will throw a single time error. After another save, ‘sall should be good.
* Blight related mods and others: I didn’t change any method, it’s just a firefoam poper with different means. Still as a classic advice, make a backup save just to be sure.
If you ask me, if your mods are fine as they are, they’ll be very fine with this mod also.
* While experimenting, i saw that popper couldn’t destroy the blights which was put directly by me instead of the event itself. So, if there are any mod which forcefully put a blight (as in EtherealThingDef) in somewhere, this mod may not destroy that particular blight.
I have ideas for improving the mod if i’m able. I just wanted to share it now for this state alone was convenient, reliable and fun-kinda balanced enough for my taste.
Some may-be plans:
– Adding less industrial blight solutions
– Gradual/partial blight eradication instead of an instant/full scale one
– I didn’t work on the texture too much. I may do later. I left it as it is after seeing how cool sombrero it was.
– I guess, I can easily make it check for plants only have a little blight level (newly blighted) to prevent a possible exploit, like putting a poper after a whole farm is blighted and make’em puff just like that. That would be rude.
From what i see, blight event patching is kind of messy. It requires lots of work, at least for me. I might dive in to that in the future, but I aim not to dive in too deep for what i want from this mod is to stay safe and reliable.
