More Consistent Projectile Trails Off Setting
Important: Should work again but as I have to go through the entire list of projectiles each patch there can always be projectiles that are overlooked. So if certain projectiles SHOULD have projectile trails or SHOULD NOT have projectile trails feel free to comment. Note that ‘should’ in this context is more focused on the obvious, like that default arrows/bullets have no trails or fire based attacks have trails i.e..
Similar to my mod for WH1, I try to fix (from my personal pov) the inconsistencies in the Projectile Trails Off setting by deactivating/reenabling certain trails. You have to deactivate the Projectile Trails box in Game Settings for this mod to show any effect.
Mostly this leads to:
– normal arrows, bolts, gunshots and cannonballs have no projectile trails at all
– magic arrows like WE Hagsbane or Bretonnian Firearrows are still on
– magic and special or magical artillery is still on (like Hellcannon, Helstorm Battery, etc)
Also includes new textures for the WE arrows to get rid of the glow on the arrow models.
Note: Please let me know if there are any oversights. Some Trails are left on by design, as I think it looks better, however, all of the interesting Projectile Trails should be visible, if they are not: check first if you have mods installed that might conflict (Better Smoke i.e.) and let me know if the issue still persists after turning all other mods off.
I use it in conbination with the Cinematic Battle Effects mod by Attila and Railgun (I use the All in One Version)
