Gay Concubines and Consorts: Updated
Just in time for Pride Month, Paradox Interactive has fixed the "bug" in 1.3 that made same-sex concubinage impossible. I’ve fixed the mod, and now you can be as gay as your heart’s content! Be warned through, for the time being either I’m too dumb to figure out how to enable same-sex marriage, or Paradox lied when they said same-sex marriage would be moddable in 1.4. If anyone who is smarter than me can help out, just comment below and I’ll reach out.

This is an updated version of the Gay Concubines and Consorts mod made by Jesper.
It simply allows you to take a concubine or consort of the same sex (assuming you and your consort can be attracted to each other).
I don’t own A DAMN THING about this mod. I simply ported it to a new version, that’s about it. I don’t own any of the scripting of this mod, or anything like it.
I just pulled a Thanos and updated the mod myself after it seems to have been abandon ware.
When – or if – Paradox finally makes Marriage moddable (or if it’s moddable and I’m too dumb to figure it out), I will also be adding the option for adoption for both queer and straight couples.
I’m just as devastated as you. I’m a big gay, probably the biggest gay you’ll ever meet. But, simply same-sex marriage is hard-coded to never exist in the game, as it currently stands that is.
Way back when 1.3 was released, Paradox Interactive did say they’d release a patch before 1.4 to enable same-sex concubines, and in 1.4 same-sex marriage would be active, but development is hard and full of problems so 1.4 was the patch we got that enabled same-sex concubinage, and (likely) same-sex marriage will be a thing in patch 1.5 – likely coinciding with the release of The Court DLC, but that’s just my theory.
