Description:

A "lite" battle mod for vanilla R2: TW that can be easily overwritten in the load order. New units that use vanilla weapon files will be balanced and compatible.

Features:
– Standardized hitpoints for land units. Flesh is flesh.
– Less hitpoint grind. Melee combat, particularly with armored units, is reworked to be slower but not dependent on sapping hitpoints out of a unit. You will notice casualties right off the bat as an engagement starts, though it may take some time for it to end.
– Overhauled projectiles. New ranges, velocities. spread, damage, etc. I’m proud to say that this is likely the only mod out there where javelins exert their full power, elephants beware. Ballistics are closely based on projectile and weapon type. Roman great ballista can launch stones nearly a kilometer.
– Revamped melee weapons, shields and armor. Shields no longer contribute to armor value and have increased (around double) missile block chance. Melee weapons do less damage for extended combat time.
– Revamped morale and fatigue. Units get tired in a realistic capacity but also recover. I’ve done my miles in body armor, I know what it feels like. Armies can be crushed and routed by decisive shock attacks.
– Revamped unit weight/bracing. Formations now affect bracing. Unit mass is more distinctly graduated, meaning that heavy impact charges are truly vicious.
– Revamped unit speed to realistic speeds. If you see units walking in "slow motion", it might be because you ran their d—s off in the snow and mud.
– Added formations to many units. There is always more work to do in this respect but most "formed" units have a wide variety.
– Sight reduced in scrub and trees for all units. Units can see as far as the eye can see.
– Increased deployment zone size.
– New animations that are rare or under-utilized are now in the matched combat sequences.
– Units retain formation while in ‘shield wall’.
– Pikes actually kill things lol. Pikes will physically push enemy units away and retain their formation with brutal effect.
