Description:

This mod increases the Armour-Piercing damage of most melee and shock cavalry in the game, and reduces their non-AP by the same amount. This should increase the effectiveness of cavalry against Armour, especially when Charging. It is intended to be used alongside Estarc’s Combined Damage Buffs . If you identify any cavalry units conspicuously missing from this mod it is probably because they are in that one. Save game compatible.

To elaborate, this mod contains small buffs to pretty much every cavalry unit not affected by Estarc’s Combined Damage Buffs , which primarily focuses on substantial buffs to higher tier cavalry units. Most of the buffs were considered too small to be worth their own mods, and/or for units that weren’t important enough to warrant such treatment. Most units received +2 to +4 AP damage, though Pegasus Knights are a notable outlier with +8.

As a general rule the better the unit’s quality the higher percentage of AP damage it does. This should make replacing cavalry units with higher tier variants more rewarding, especially when using shock cavalry. Small buffs to higher tier cavalry were also made to help keep them competitive when used against units buffed by Estarc’s Combined Damage Buffs .

This mod should be compatible with other mods that change the same units, as long as those mods do not change the same units’ damage.

I reserve the right to change any of these numbers as I either identify issues during play, or simply according to my whims! If you identify any units you feel should be buffed or nerfed while playing this mod feel free to tell me, though I ask you also explain why you think they should be buffed/nerfed.

9th Sep 2018 –> Added changes to Bretonnian Knights Errant RoR and Knights of the Realm RoR units, which I had overlooked. Also fixed a vanilla bug that causes the Knights Errant RoR to use the standard Knights Errant lance instead of their custom version which includes a Bonus vs Large.
