Description:

Greetings! This mod contains the building of the river station from Riga (Latvia). The prototype for all river stations of that time was the luxurious northern station of Moscow, the capital of the USSR, built in 1933-37. Its architecture with galleries of semicircular arches, symmetry, many times reflected the architecture of river stations of that time. The Riga river station was no exception. No wonder its creator, architect Nikolai Voronov, arrived in Riga from Moscow. He designed the building of the river station not as big as the river station in Moscow, after all, the scale of the city is not the same, but definitely in the same style. I tried to make this station compatible with the popular embankment mod (https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2278229891) so that you can place the station and embankments together.

A bit of history: (https://riga1201.wordpress.com/2020/12/06/ненужный-вокзал/)
In 1945, the Riga City Executive Committee decided to hand over to the Riga River Port a plot of land on the island of Kipsala, near the Agenskalns Bay, for the construction of a building for a river station. The prototype for all river stations of that time was the luxurious northern station of Moscow, the capital of the USSR, built in 1933-37. Its architecture with galleries of semicircular arches, symmetry, spire was reflected many times in the architecture of river stations of that time. The Riga river station was no exception. The construction of the station began in 1948 and two years later the brick building was put into operation. It would seem that this beautiful building will become the center of the river communication of Riga, but it did not work out that way. When the docks near the city embankment were ready, it turned out that it was more convenient for passengers to board motor ships there, and not to get out to the left bank to the station. But the real problem for the river station was the demolition of the Valdemarovsky wooden bridge. Instead of a wooden ferry, a pontoon bridge appeared at the end of the 1960s, which meant that motor ships from the river station could not immediately leave for the Daugava and, diving under the bridge, set off on a voyage to Mezaparks or Jurmala. I had to bend around Kipsala along the Sound channel. Meanwhile, the building itself lived its own life. For example, a popular propaganda center was located here, where various events were held: meetings with production leaders, lectures, and film screenings. In the 1960s, the station building managed to be an international bus station during the reconstruction of the bus station between the old town and the Central Market. Then, a winter parking lot for cars of Riga residents was equipped here, and refresher courses for employees of the river shipping company were opened in the building. In 1965, an exhibition of Polish goods was held on the territory of the station. But all this time the River Station remained a place for organizing river navigation. This is how a beautiful building lived like a half-forgotten Cinderella. They repainted it in brick colors and could not find the proper use in any way. It housed the office premises of river navigation, cash desks, but the main life was in full swing on the marinas on the city embankment, here there was a complete lull. By the 1990s, the building was completely empty. In 1993, a major reconstruction of the building followed, it was slightly rebuilt and adapted for offices, but this project also did not enjoy success. At the beginning of the 21st century, it was decided to turn the southern tip of Kipsala into
