Description:

Just in time for an August 9th release, this mod adds Singapura as a playable nation. The aim of the mod is to create a believable, alt-history Singapura as it might have existed within the EU4 timeframe, rather than replicating an anachronistic modern-day Singapore. Nevertheless, you’ll find flavour elements grounded in the historical timeframe that let the country play somewhat differently from the other Malayan states, such as a strong trade focus and hints of multiculturalism.

Singapura does not exist at the 1444 start but has a core on the island. It can be released and played as immediately by Malacca, or released as an AI state in a peace deal as long as the core has not expired. Alternatively, I’ve added a specific event for Malacca that fires if they’ve lost the Malacca province before 1500, own Singapura, and have fewer than 6 provinces. This event provides a choice to move the capital and tag switch to Singapura, simulating an alt-history scenario inspired by the fall of Malacca in 1511. Historically, the Sultan of Malacca fled to Johor and established the Johor Sultanate (this is provided as the other option in the event, which the AI will choose 80% of the time).

Full mission tree with new missions, modifiers, and flavour text

– Subjugate Singapura’s ancestral roots of Palembang and Majapahit
– Find allies on the Southeast Asian mainland
