Description:
NOT COMPATIBLE WITH MPE / MEDIVAL ARTS

The Miller Cylindrical Projection is a map projection commonly used in cartography. This mod reprojects the heavily distorted vanilla map, which contains inconsistent projections and artificial warping, onto a standardized map based on GIS (Geographic Information System) data.

This mod does not change the ownership of provinces, nor does it alter any historical files. It only remaps existing provinces to display accurately within the Miller Cylindrical Projection (MCP). No new provinces are added, making it compatible with many other mods. In theory, it can be used alongside any mod that does not significantly modify the map.

Some regions without established historical states during the game’s timeframe (for example, northeastern Siberia and central Africa) are also included purely for projection accuracy.

This mod is not Ironman compatible due to changes in map data.

Geospatial data is sourced from NASA Earth Observations and Natural Earth.

Main Features

  • Coastlines, rivers, and terrain have been redrawn based on GIS data.
  • Areas with potential for future vanilla expansion are pre-mapped and ready for modding.
  • Carefully crafted paper-style maps designed to match the vanilla game’s aesthetic as closely as possible.

Bug Reports & Questions & Suggestions

Although I have adjusted the coordinates of many map objects, some remain randomly generated, which may cause minor issues. If you encounter bugs, have questions, or would like to share suggestions, please feel free to leave your feedback.
