Description:
DUE TO THE V1.0 UPDATE

Due to the V1.0 update this creation will not function without having the "inf electrical" option enabled. Below I will outline the main issue as to why adding batteries is not an option.

So.. why cant I just add batteries?

Batteries would only cover the actual buildings in Shinano. The lanterns, that in my opinion are one of the biggest parts of Shinano, would not be able to get this charge. Unlike the normal ropes we have.. electrical cable anchors can only hold one cable at a time. This… is a big issue. There is not a good way to keep these lanters compact and pretty when each needs to be connected to a separate wire. I really dislike this, however theres nothing that can really be done at the moment. Shinano has its own style and look, and I think that updating it would ruin the feel. For now I would still request that users either visit during the day, or enable the inf electrical option to view Shinano.

Thank you to everybody who was viewed this mod. I really enjoyed making it, and im kinda sad that it was broken. Hope everybody is able to stay safe and healthy with whats going on in the world.

Shinano 信濃

(Videos: I found the second video on YouTube, decided to include it :P)

Basics

Hello and welcome to Shinano. Shinano is a rural Japanese based town on the southeast side of Sawyer Island.
Shinano is home to 20 people, 6 shops, and a church.

Included

This environment mod includes:
-Small village.
-Dynamic night lighting.
-One shop interior.
-Fully detailed buildings, roadways, roadway markings, etc.
-Church bell that rings at a new hour.
-NPCs standing around to make the town feel lively.
-Plenty of props using the mission editor to make the overall feel more realistic.
-(Use freecam to see over walls, theres detail even behind there :P)

The mission includes:
-Spawner for the village.
-Marker for the village location.

Driving

The town’s streets and parking areas are VERY SMALL. It is not meant for bigger vehicles. In the link area at the bottom, I am going to include a few vehicles that I personally think are good cars to use when visiting. (The left road is the entrance, it’s a one-way road that goes clockwise)

FPS

Thankfully this is playable! While the town is about 50% paint blocks, the FPS only drops an average of 3-10. I’m not really sure about the exact FPS but I can keep anywhere from 40-60 while around the town. Night time drops that number only by about 3.

Background

Five of Shinano’s buildings are based heavily on some found in the town of Nikko, Japan. The church, while looking more American or European is actually a catholic church in Nikko. The flower shop is based off of まん清花店, a florist shop in Nikko. For more info about these buildings, i’m going to leave a few links at the bottom to google maps.

Mauve’s Note

I’m sorry that the town is as small as it is.. I am very happy with how it came out, especially with how long it took. However I am aware that it is pretty small. This was mainly due to block limit and build size. I wanted to make sure it was a playable asset, so that it is a nice place to visit with little trouble. Hopefully you enjoy it, as there is a lot of detail and a slightly secret location to find. Much love, thank you for reading!

I would also like to give a thanks to NJ for the video, im really glad to see that people are enjoying it.

This is the vehicle I used a lot, it is pretty fast but still very small so it worked out nicely.

This truck was in the first image I ever made of JapanTown, when it was only 3 buildings.
