To start

Enter the stairwells and head forward
Head down the staircase and move aft
You’ll come to the boiler room
Simply hold ‘light boiler’ until both boilers are lit
Head back up and you’re good to go

To stop

Enter engine room
Set lever labelled ‘Steam damper’ to 0 on each boiler

To refuel

Canopus features 2 refuel ports labelled coal chutes just in front of the stairwells
To refuel:
Open coal chute
Grab fuel line from refuelling source
Attach to connector
When done refuelling, press ‘release coal chute’

To use the lifeboats

Press the button labelled ‘release tie down’
The boat will then begin swinging freely
Hope aboard and hold the down arrow until you are more or less at water level
Press the ‘drop’ button and the connectors will release

To sink

Canopus features 2 sinking methods
Boiler explosion
Head around the back of the boilers
Turn the key labelled ‘Boiler explosion’ (you don’t have to turn the ‘dynamic sinking’ but i recommend it)
The engine will change sound and begin to over-rev
After a while the boilers will explode, blasting a hole in the hull and destroying the funnel
The engine room will rapidly flood and begin leaking into other areas of the ship
Be warned this happens quite fast
Dynamic sinking
Head around back of boilers
Turn the key labelled ‘dynamic sinking’
Next you need some waves – enough to submerge the bow
Once enough water is over the cargo door, it will crack open and leak
Over time, the bow will begin to sag lower until water spills into the engine room
Once water reaches the boilers, they’ll explode
After the explosion, she’ll start to go under much quicker
Once the hull reaches a certain angle, she’ll snap and the stern will float free for a while
