SS Cliffs Victory
The Cliffs Victory was built in 1945 under the name Notre Dame Victory. The Notre Dame Victory was a WWII Victory ship, that in 1951, was converted into a great lakes bulk carrier ship. The newly named Cliffs Victory was about 700 feet long (lengthened a little while later), and sailed for the Cleveland Cliffs Iron Company until 1984-86, when most of the fleet was sold off. The ship was sold for scrap in 1986, and scrapping was finished in 1987.
