Description:

The SS Pendleton was a T2-SE-A1 tanker built in 1944 in Portland, Oregon. In 1948 she was sold to the National Bulk Carriers and she served until February 18 1952 when she broke in two in a storm off Chatam. The sinking and the rescue of the crew are the topic behind the book "The Finest Hours: The True Story Behind the US Coast Guard’s Most Daring Rescue" and the 2016 movie "The Finest Hours".

Total build and testing time: 75 hours

Start Up Procedure

REMEMBER TO TURN OFF OVERHEATING

1- Head to the boilers and flip the starters, keep them on 3 seconds then off
2-Go into the turbine room and open the 2 steam valves on both sides of the room to activate the turbine.
3-Go to the main panel, grab the helm and press 1 to increase the motor throttle
4-Congrats! You are now moving!

How to sink

Head to the bridge, on the right of the helm there’s a panel with a button and some instructions. You must press the button and raise weather to at least 90% rain, 40% fog and 60% waves.
After all that is done the sinking will begin. The bow will start to flood until at one point the welding will fail and the ship will split. Bow will go down very fast so you better escape to the stern, that will very slowly flood and can be slowed down even more by activating pumps.
