Description:

A demonstration of a massive flying segmented serpentine construct armed with a laser, a railgun, missiles, and a ram attack, as well as an optional back-mounted “nuke”. Guess what, I’ve moved to the example castle.

To use in other maps: First, make a local copy of the this mod, and the map you want to put the Basilisco in. Copy highlighted files (as shown in that image) in this mod’s folder (“alicanto” and basilisco.xml) to the local map/mod folder of your choice (directly to the MOD folder), then open that map in editor. Make a new instance, then assign basilisco.xml to the "file" property.

The entity relies on tags set in the bodies, shapes, as well as "settings" location entities that feature important settings. To access them, you must first convert the instance to a group.

Recommended settings to tweak:
– "hoverheight" and "patrolheight" in the "flight tags" location. hoverheight suggested to be at least ~20 meters higher than the patrolheight.
– "particletags", currently empty but currently supports r, g and b values for the engine exhaust particles ("engineparticles"..r/g/b, each channel must be added separately i.e. "engineparticlesg") and railgun trail particles ("railparticlesr", "railparticlesg", "railparticlesb").

PS this is pretty much the Guardian from TGC’s Journey, albeit off-brand.
