Description:

*SPAWNS AT OIL RIG*

***This ship does NOT handle waves very well sorry about that, you’ll have a better experience if you keep the waves well below 100%***

THE RMS OLYMPUS IS A "FICTIONAL" SHIP AND IS NOT SUPPOSED TO BE A 1:1 RECREATION OF AN OLYMPIC CLASS LINER

Proud to announce the release of my first ship the RMS Olympus. Fair warning this ship is massive and will probably need a beefy system to run, but please give it a shot! As probably evident the ship is heavily inspired by the Titanic but I have since gone and made my own ship out of it but you’ll notice plenty of similarities. She has a max speed of 24 knots and a range of 75km. If you don’t run the engines at full power you can increase the range significantly.

This ship features-
-A "Grand Staircase" spanning multiple decks
-Engine room complete with 3 boilers and 2 triple expansion steam engines
-Working anchors
-Working elevator
-Plunge bath
-First class lounge
-First class dining room
-Third class general room
-Third class dining room
-Third class smoking room
-Officers quarters
-Officers lounge
-Wireless room
-FWD Cargo Bay
-6 full size lifeboats with working davits plus 2 ‘collapsible’ lifeboats on the roof of the officers quarters
-Sink button located in the "Chart" room in the wheelhouse
-Lights flicker several times before going out as the ship gradually sinks. Try it out at night for the best experience!

And tons and tons of hallways to get lost in!

To start the ship head down to the boiler room through the engineering section on C-Deck amidship, or through the crew entry doors in the D-Deck reception room. First turn on the boilers and then the pumps. Head aft inbetween the boilers into the engine room, hit the 3 engine start buttons between the engines. Finally open both steam valves on each engine(throttles right next to the engine start panel) to engage the steam engines. Make your way up to the bridge and utilize both Eng telegraphs to move forward.

In case of emergency you have 4 signal flairs, 2 Morse lamps and the lifeboats at your disposal. To launch the lifeboats lower the winch until it is close to the boat and then turn on BOTH mags(the one inside the lifeboat, and the one on the davit itself) after the boat is attached raise it about halfway and then swing the davit outboard and begin lowering. To release the falls use the button inside the lifeboat or the one on the deck.

The anchors utilize a one key turn operation, turning the key releases the anchor restraint, lowers the anchor, turns on the mag when it hits the sea floor and stops the anchor chain from lowering further. To raise the anchor just turn the key again and everything will be reversed and the anchor will be stowed automatically. There is also manual raise/lower/release buttons if needed. WARNING do not raise both anchors simultaneously as the mags used to stow have a chance to connect to each other and tangle both anchors together.

And finally this build would not have happened without a ton of help from the wonderful Stormworks community on the workshop and on discord. I especially want to thank Filip for his help in troubleshooting a door problem I had and took the time to assist me even when my ship was causing all types of crashes for him. All the artwork on the ship was created using Tajin’s tool here- http://rising.at/Stormworks/paint.php

Also a note: If the ship is spawning in frozen for you try lowering your graphics settings all the way and respawn it a few times, this usually gets it to spawn correctly then you can raise your graphics settings back up if you’d like.

I’ve also made a Hospital Ship version here- https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1876646930
