Aurelic – Return of Sol Invictus

It always frustated me that there was no standalone mod for the roman worship of Sol Invictus that was made official by Aurelian, so I made this. I obviously took some freedoms with the naming. "Aurelic" has a nicer sound than Sol Invictus or Latin Solar from WtWSMS.

Aurelic is a very defensive religion, inspired by the time it was relevant, a time of struggle with barbaric invasions and civil wars. The religion gives a 25% morale to defending troops in home counties, as well 25% to all kinds of units defending.

Being known as the patron of Soldiers, Sol Invictus grants +3 martial to all worshippers and 20% fertility.

The religion works as autocephaly, similar to orthodox and cannot declare Great Holy War. All Temple holders are Female Vestals. They cannot marry.

Aurelic players and AI can create the Olympian Champions warrior lodge and join it.

Hellenic events such as selection of zodiac traits, sacrifice before battle and haruspicy are all adapted to happen for aurelic as well.

Minor decisions such as epic tournament, summer fair and feast were adapted to be usable by aurelic rulers

If you are aurelic and hold Rome, you can rebuild the Aurelian Walls, which adds 5 fort levels to Tusculum, greatly helping against sieges on that county. Make sure to use the Barony of Tusculum as the County capital.

This mod is made with Ruler designer in mind. You cannot play this religion without it. Holy Fury is required to use the hellenic warrior lodge. Won’t be compatible with other mods that change the decision, societies and events files that this mod changes.
