Description:

The Japanese National Railways’ HoKi 2200 is an hopper wagon for transporting grain in bulk with a 30-ton load that was introduced in 1966. It was used to transport imported wheat and malt to inland factories, and was operated until 2000, even after privatization in 1987. Hoki 9800 is a privately owned hopper wagon that was introduced in 1972 to transport malt for Kirin Brewery, and operated until 1998.

There are many variants of the Hoki 2200 by the based stations. Some of them are from the JNR era and JR Freight era.

Hoki 9800 also has variant by based stations. Early models have a black background for the company name and logo, while later models have a cream background.
